Men's Soccer Rolls Over Virginia State 

PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer (1-0-1) scored five goals in the first and second half, taking 24 shots on the day as the Rams defeated Virginia State University (0-1) 10-1 in non-conference action this Saturday afternoon. 

WHAT HAPPENED 

• Gianluca Calvosa started off the day for Jefferson, scoring a goal in the 2nd minute of the game, assisted by Liam Stijelja

• TJ Hibsman earned a hat-trick for Jefferson, leading the team with three goals on the day (21st, 30th, and 50th) while Deigo Guzman had two of his own (8th and 62nd) 

• Calvosa and Gabe Paz tied with two assists on the day with Michael Darigo having one assist 

• Mohamed Elhendawy got himself on the scoreboard with a goal at the 35th minute, making the game 5-0 at the break 

• Miles Hood, Emilson Bitri, and David Bollmann all got a goal in the second half 

• The 10 goals for Jefferson is the third most in school history, with it being the first time the Rams have scored 10+ goals in a game since 1974.
