Women' Lacrosse Sixth Straight Victory; Defeats Caldwell
CALDWELL, N.J. – Thomas Jefferson University women's lacrosse (7-2, 3-0) went on the road and took on Caldwell University (1-5, 0-2) in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Saturday. The Rams took down the Cougars 17-4 for their sixth straight victory on the season.
WHAT HAPPENED
- The Rams put up five goals in the first quarter with Lilly Lutz and Iris Gluck having the first two within five minutes of the contest starting. After Tiana Cipot scored for Caldwell, Reagan Rogers put her own shot into the net. Cipot got another goal from a man up, but the Rams tacked on two more by Meaghan Avanzato and Rogers
- Jefferson went to score 11 straight goals between the second and third quarter. Lutz had three goals in that time period, I. Gluck produced two with Avanzato and Lindely Gori netting one each to make it 12-2 at the break. Rogers, I. Gluck, Emily Ryder, and Tori LaFalce all had one goal during the third quarter to have it at 16-2
- Bella Treadway scored the first goal in the fourth quarter to end the Rams scoring barrage. Meghan Korzevinski and Abigal Wallac put a shot in net for the Cougars in the final 10 minutes
- Kalyn Ammerlaan put up two saves on the day
