NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Sept. 8, 2026) – Freshman goalkeeper Ava Brochon (Bensalem, Pa. / The Pennington School) has been recognized as CACC Rookie of the Week for her stellar performance in net at Southern New Hampshire University over the weekend.

Brochon turned in a strong performance in goal on Sunday, making seven saves to help Jefferson earn a 1-0 road victory over Southern New Hampshire. The freshman goalkeeper kept the Penmen off the scoreboard for the full 90 minutes to secure the clean sheet as well as the Rams' first victory of the young season.

Brochon and the Rams will enjoy a short layoff before returning against Mercy University on Saturday, Sept. 12 on the road.
