Orangeburg, NY- The Philadelphia University
lacrosse team (6-4, 5-1 CACC) dropped a conference contest at
Dominican College (2-7, 2-6 CACC) on Saturday afternoon.
Senior midfielder Kathleen Maurer (Rochester, NY/
Our Lady of Mercy) led her squad with five points.
The Lady Rams trailed 6-5 at the half, but sophomore midfielder
Ania Crawford notched the tying goal (6-6) at the
24:25 mark. Sophomore midfielder Kalin Hodel
(West Chester, OH/ Lakota West) gave PhilaU the go-ahead on the
ensuing score, but DC went on a 4-0 run to pull ahead for good.
Hodel had three goals on the day.
PhilaU senior goalie Kat Sullivan (Mt. Laurel,
NJ/ Lenape) had 19 saves on the day, while DC's Lindsey
Grundfast made 13 stops.
The Lady Rams return to action on Tuesday (4/13) at home vs.
Wilmington at 4:30 p.m. at Ravenhill Field.
