Box Score Orangeburg, NY- The Philadelphia University women's lacrosse team (9-6, 9-2 CACC) used a six-goal outing from junior attacker Taylor Peltzer to catapult to a 20-15 win over the Dominican College Chargers (7-7, 6-5 CACC) on Monday afternoon.
The Rams netted the first three goals of the game, including one from junior midfielder Kalin Hodel at 16:04, who tallied five on the day.
DC fought back to keep PhilaU ahead by an inch, 7-6 at halftime.
In the second half, Peltzer would score five of her goals. Tied at 12-12 with 10:14 to go, the Rams went on a 4-0 run to keep the lead for good in the 20-15 road win.
Rookie goalie Cory Lombardo had 12 saves for PhilaU, while DC's Michele Coffey had 13 stops between the pipes.
Next up for the Rams will be Wilmington University on Tuesday (4/26) at 4:30 p.m. at Ravenhill Field.
