Box Score WEST CALDWELL, N.J. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) women's lacrosse team (6-7, 5-1 CACC) defeated the Caldwell Cougars on the road Saturday by a final of 17-11 as senior Kathryn Avanzato reached 200 career points.
Avanzato notched a career-high 11 assists. With her fourth point of the day, she reached 200 career points.
Sophomore Sarah von Lange scored a career-high seven goals and tied her career high, set this past Thursday, with seven points.
Junior Laura Dunne notched a five-point day behind three goals and two assists.
Sophomore Erin Eckert recorded three goals while senior Samantha Ryder had a goal and an assist. Ryder also won 13 draw controls
Freshmen Teagan Hay and Camryn Sullivan each scored goals on the afternoon.
Jefferson went up 8-4 at halftime after scoring the final five goals of the half to erase a 4-3 deficit.
The Rams went up 9-4 at the start of the second before Caldwell scored four to get within one, 9-8.
Though the Cougars got close, Jefferson held onto its lead for the conference win, improving to 5-1 in CACC play.
